Vaherakhadi
Introduction: This village is located 4 kilometers from Adasa railway station. Borsad taluka also has village named Vera. To give separate identity to village, additional name Khadi was joined with Vera, thereby making it Verakhadi. Village is located on Mahisagar Rivuet and so Khadi name was selected. In ancient times, village was located on banks of Mahi River. It shifted to current place due to devastating floods 100 years back. Bus going from Vasad to Thakore Changa Dham and Vera to Vasad – Anand halt at Verakhadi.
Industries: Agriculture is main economical activity of Verakhadi. Along with cash crops, tobacco is main crop of village. Village also has tobacco processing factories.
Religious places: Village has Jagnath Mahadev, Bhathikhatriji Temple, Hanumanji Temple, Gemalshah Pir, Bhagol Palia and Lekho. Ram Tekri, Mahadev Temple, Rachhod Temple and Dharamshala are also in the village. Verakhadi also has Dwarnath Mahadev and Mahi-Sagar Lagan Ni Chori.
